Lima Book of Records 2002 , ( the
Indian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records ) features
Malpani Infertility Clinic for its firsts !
1. First sperm bank. Drs Aniruddha
and Anjali Malpani opened a sperm bank at Mumbai in 1990 to help
infertile patients. The bank also stores sperm of patients who may
be critically ill, for use at a later date.
2. First preimplantation genetic
diagnosis. Malpani Infertility Clinic, Mumbai, is the first and only
clinic to provide the facility of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis
( PGD). |
