What to send, and what you get back

You do not need a referral and there is no charge. The more you tell us, the more useful the opinion can be.

Email Dr Malpani with this checklist Some email apps need the reports attached by hand.

What to include

  • Your age and your partner's age.
  • How long you have been trying, and any diagnosis you have been given.
  • The treatments so far: IUI or IVF cycles, how many, and what happened in each.
  • Your reports if you have them: AMH, ultrasound, semen analysis, embryo grades. Clear photos or PDFs are fine.
  • The one question you most want answered.

Who reads it

Dr Aniruddha Malpani reads these himself. He is the medical director of Malpani Infertility Clinic in Mumbai and has spent his career helping couples understand their own treatment.

What you get back

His honest view on whether your current plan is on the right track, the options your doctor may not have put in front of you, and the questions worth asking at your next appointment. If the answer is that you are already doing the right thing, he will say so.

What this is not

This is a second opinion, not a diagnosis or a prescription. You still need your own doctor to examine you and to carry out treatment. We use what you send only to give you this opinion. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your details.

Questions people ask before writing

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no charge for the opinion, and you are not asked to book a paid consultation first.

I have already had two failed IVF cycles. Is it too late to ask?

No. Couples often write after several failed cycles, when they are deciding whether to try again, change the plan, or consider donor eggs or embryo adoption. That is exactly the point where a second opinion helps most.

Can my husband write instead of me?

Yes. Either partner can write, and it helps to include both your details.

I am being treated at another clinic. Will you say anything to them?

No. We do not contact your clinic. The opinion comes to you.

What if I do not have my reports?

Write anyway. Tell us what you remember about your cycles and what you were told. Reports make the opinion sharper, but they are not a condition for writing.
